Ready to enjoy the summer sun?  Before you head out, it's important to always protect yourself from the sun, especially on areas that are exposed to harmful ultraviolet rays.  Not only does protecting your skin prevent aging and dark spots, but it can also prevent skin cancer.  Even if it's not sunny, UV rays can penetrate through the clouds, so always have some sort of SPF on!  Here are our tips for protecting your skin:

 

Avoid Peak Times

The sun is the hottest from 12 to 4 PM, so try to avoid being out in the sun around this time.  At this time, the sun's rays are usually the hottest and most damaging.

 

Cover Up

Although wearing SPF helps, wearing light clothing over your bikini can protect your skin even more.

 

Wear Sunglasses

Don't forget to protect your eyes too!  Your eyes are also susceptible to the sun's rays, so try wearing sunglasses that block UVB and UVA rays.
