Fighting Cellulite with Caffeine

It's officially Spring and with the weather starting to warm up, we're starting to shed our chunky knits and wear lighter layers.  One way that we can start prepping for warmer weather is by treating cellulite.

Most of us have it (if you don't, we're incredibly jealous!) and its biggest enemy is caffeine.  Over time, caffeine has been shown to reduce the appearance of cellulite if applied religiously.  There are plenty of coffee scrubs on the market and we also carry a few from Dirtea:

However, if DIY is more of your thing, you only need a few ingredients to make your own coffee scrub.

  • 1 cup coffee grounds
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup sea salt or sugar
  • empty jar
  • dry brush (optional)
  • 1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Melt coconut oil.
  2. Mix together dry ingredients and add the coconut oil.  Feel free to add vanilla, cinnamon, lavender, or any natural scent of your choice.
  3. Transfer to an airtight container.
  4. Use 1-2 times a week with a dry brush.
