With all the chaos of Christmas, it's easy to get caught up in all the madness. With all the pre Christmas drinks, lunches and catch ups filling our diaries sometimes we just forget to pick up that little something extra for our friends and colleagues.
Secret Santa or white elephant gift exchanges can be tricky, especially if you work in a big office, or have a wide circle of friends to buy for, so we've put together a little cheat sheet for you to help make things go smoothly.
1. Play Detective
If you work in a large team of people, you may have to buy for someone you don't know that well. If you want to gift something that you know they'll be delighted with have a sneaky look at your recipients desk or workspace to get an idea of the kind of colours or themes they like. If they're more minimalist then they may not be overjoyed with lots of elaborate packaging so you could buy them something simple and chic. Connock London have a wonderfully packaged (but not too fussy) kukui oil enriched hand cream that comes in a beautifully presented box that has a luxury feel.
For new mums, or pregnant women, pampering themselves may be pretty low on their list of priorities, so why not take the opportunity to treat them? Bloom and Blossom have an incredible range of pamper products for mothers. Obviously if you're not that close gifting the Soothing Nipple Balm may be overstepping the mark a little bit... but this Mother & Baby Oil could be just the ticket. This gentle oil seals in moisture, leaving skin soft and smooth and is made up of easily absorbed natural plant oils includes camomile flower oil to soothe and lavender oil to calm.
If you find out your secret Santa recipient is a bit of a gym addict (they're usually easy to spot!) this Classic Male Grooming Muscle Soak from the Scottish Fine Soaps Company will probably go down a storm.
2. Pamper Pamper Pamper
Who doesn't love a pamper? Seriously. Usually secret Santa gift exchanges are limited by budget, so you can't go overboard but you can still find something that will satisfy most people if you choose to go the pamper route. We offer a selection of lovely gift sets and pamper products starting at £10. Scottish Fine Soaps have a great collection of affordable but premium feeling gifts. From this Au Lait Milk Soap Gift Tin (£4.95) to this Sea Kelp Gift Set (£9.95) which contains 3 travel sized products in a neat presentation box.
3. Gift Cards!
Gift cards are the lifesaver of the Christmas gifting world. If you tend to leave things last minute, have a hard time getting inspiration or (we're not judging) forget you can rest assured a gift card will save your skin. Our gift cards are sent out over email so you don't have to wait for delivery, and start at £10.
