DON'T FORGET YOUR HANDS

Pay extra attention to your hands as they have a long winter ahead of them with more exposure to the cold and wind. Be sure to moisturize with a good hand cream and reapply as often as you can!

REACH FOR A RICHER MOISTURIZER


Use thicker moisturizers with the cooler weather kicking in and central heating being turned up. It's time to switch to thicker moisturizers with an oil base, which will hydrate your skin more and give us that extra protection. Remember to use a moisturizer with SPF, you can still catch the sun even through the clouds.

TRY A DIY MASK

Your skin will need additional nourishment this time of year, so try this timeless beauty mask that will leave your skin feeling smooth, nourished and radiant:

  • 1 tablespoon raw organic honey
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 1 teaspoon almond oil
Combine in a small bowl, apply to face and neck for 15 - 20 minutes and then rinse well.

EAT SEASONAL VEGETABLES

Try eating seasonal vegetables like brussels sprouts, turnips, daikon radish, cauliflower, and mushrooms.  Be creative using these vegetables in your recipes, they're good for you!

BALANCE THE STRESS

This time of year may be a little more stressful after the leisure of Summer, such as children going back to school, increased work projects, or intensity of hitting goals by the end of the year.  Make sure you create downtime for yourself so you don't feel overwhelmed.  Perhaps try aromatherapy, meditating, reading or whatever makes you feel more relaxed.
