During the winter season, it can seem like everyone around you is getting sick.  Especially if you have kids or if you're constantly out and about, it can be a challenge to stay healthy.  Essential oils are a great staple to have in your medicine cabinet to relieve some of the symptoms immediately while avoiding the side effects of prescription medicine.  Studies have shown that essential oils have antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that may help shorten your cold.  Here are 5 essential oils to get you through the flu season:


1. Eucalyptus

One of the most popular oils to use due to its antimicrobial properties.  Great to use for nose and chest digestion.

5. Lavender

Calm your respiratory system immediately when you inhale this soothing herb.
